We specialize in training children and youth whom train in their specialized classes in this place we call a dojo.

“What is Taishin Karate?”
Taishin Karate is a method of empty handed self-defense that utilizes evasive yet powerful techniques for the purpose of self-preservation. In addition, Taishin Karate emphasizes balance between the physical and mental components of a person’s life, creating the harmony so essential to good health.
The word Taishin can be translated as Tai (pronounced tie) meaning to endure/preserve and Shin meaning the heart or inner core of a being. Karate literally means empty hand. When these are combined the essence of our style is presented. An individual endures the trials and tests of karate training and life to become a better, more centered person with a gentler yet prepared nature. The inner person is transformed by the challenges that he or she overcomes.
