The American Council of Martial Arts
Sensei Walls, Director/Chief Instructor of the Lincoln Karate Clinic earned the very prestigious American Council of Martial Arts (ACMA) national certification as a Martial Arts Specialist in September of 2005.
The ACMA course covers the following subjects:
-Psychology of teaching children, teenagers and students with ADHD
-Information Processing
-Healthy structure and hierarchy
-Physiology of Teaching (stretching, warm ups, cool down)
-Sparring methods
-Variety in teaching
-Fitness Levels
-Medical Screenings
-Teaching young children
-Exercises
-Leadership
-Common Teaching errors
-Self-Defense
-Legal Issues including sexual harassment
-Teaching weapons, breaking techniques
-Handling accidents
-Several other areas
The one year course consists of a physical and written exam and is endorsed by the world-renowned Cooper Institute.
As part of continuing expansion, Mr. Walls’ new certification as an ACMA certified martial arts specialist brings another level of superior credibility.
