Teens
At LKC teenagers are an important and vital part of our school. Teens are involved in every aspect of our programs and are the backbone of our National Black
Belt Club program.
Teens benefit from karate at our school by being around a positive group of people as well as working hard in their karate training. Teens are taught that they must earn their ranks; they aren't just given to them. Teens learn how to focus, concentrate and to set goals to attain what they want. Negative influences on teens are powerful, yet with the right karate training teens can learn to resist these influences.
In our school, teens get to practice with adults. This gives them a chance to be around positive influences and even practice right along with their parent! There aren't many activities that a parent and teen can do together in which both of them can benefit.
Our teens are involved in the development of school projects and participate in many of the activities that we have at LKC. The relationships that are formed at LKC are long lasting and very beneficial for all involved.
For teens with more unique or special needs, the K.I.C.K.S program is available. Other teens have had opportunities to earn money, participate in fundraisers and use their talents in project development.
