At the Lincoln Karate Clinic we truly have the best students and a wonderful atmosphere. In many ways we think of each other as family and while we train hard we all remain close and travel together in our journey in karate.

My daughter started karate over two years ago at Lincoln Karate Clinic and I’m amazed at how far she has come. The confidence she has gained in karate is phenomenal and it has definitely spilled over into other facets of her life. Karate has made her more focused, disciplined, and respectful. I can’t thank Sensei Scott Walls enough for providing her the environment for these personal attributes to thrive. Additionally, karate is a pretty cool thing to learn and Carlita is proud of her accomplishments (rightfully so)!

We have been so pleased with our association into The Lincoln Karate Clinic. Our 3 boys have developed karate skills that have improved their self confidence, coordination and focus. I’ve been so impressed by the upper level belt instructors, teenagers who take the time to mentor younger kids and Sensei Scott seemingly inexhaustible patience. He channels classes of 3-7 year olds so full of energy in creative games that challenge them to be better people. They share, run, listen, work on concepts like respect, generosity, trustworthiness that help them develop characteristics all parents can be proud of.

I started taking karate for the mental and physical discipline it requires. I researched other dojo's in the Lincoln area and LKC was a better fit for me due to the teaching approach and overall attitude of the instructors and students. I currently attend BBC classes three times a week. I especially appreciate these classes for the personal challenges and demands it requires of me. I have struggled in the past with personal discipline and following through with goals. Karate has brought me a sense of accomplishment and helped me with learning how to set and achieve a goal. It has given me self confidence in my personal and professional life.

Our daughter Maddie started taking Karate classes in the Fall of 2005. Right from the start, we noticed how welcoming all of the staff and students were at LKC. Sensei Scott Walls make sure that all new students are made to feel a part of the karate family. Since Maddie enrolled, LKC had doubled in size and added more classes, but that small Karate school feeling has not changed. Sensei Wall knows all of the students by name, and all of the students and staff treat each other with respect.
Maddie has gained a great deal in her time at LKC. She has become stronger and more physically fit, and has learned how to deal with bullies and other dangerous situations. She has gained more self confidence and her behavior is always very respectful. The most important change we have seen in Maddie since is her level of self discipline. She is learning to be more responsible for her own actions and to take her responsibilities more seriously. She knows that she must keep up her grades and good behavior in order to advance to her next belt level. Sensei Walls and all of the Sempai (upper level students) have been, and continue to be a very positive influence in Madeline's life.

My son, Daniel Hamar (Danny) is a 3rd grader and has just achieved his Blue Belt. He wanted to take Karate so he could defend himself from bullies. We picked Lincoln Karate Clinic because of the friendly atmosphere, the teaching of the 10 evil warriors, and of course, the proper way to defend yourself from a bully.
Daniel has just moved up from the regular Dragons class to DX. I really enjoy DX because it is a more in-depth class and it forces him to apply himself to be better than he thinks he is. Karate has helped Daniel with his self confidence a lot! He is no longer afraid to look a person in the eyes when answering a question and he is no longer ashamed or embarrassed when he gets a question wrong, which in turn is making school a much better experience than ever before. His manners have went from good to fantastic. When asked to do a chore, it’s no longer AAWW dad, its Yes Sir. His focus has also improved.
On top of all this, as a parent I would have to say the best thing I have noticed about LKC is the atmosphere. ALL the Karate Students are respectful to everyone, regardless of belt level, age..... everyone bows to every one else, slaps hands, says hello and is willing to help out any other student they can. Not one student has the "I am better" attitude.

My name is Tina Seekings, and I am currently working at Kawasaki Manufacturing Corporation as a Rail Car Engineering Clerk. I am a member of the Black Belt Program, and currently have a Green Belt. Karate is something that I share with my son who is a member of the Dragons Extreme Program, and is currently a Blue Belt.
Going to class has become the highlight of our day. Everyone is always so happy to be there, and happy to see each other. It gives us something to look forward to at the end of the day whether it has been a hard day or not. With Karate we are able to get the exercise and self-defense needed to have a healthier lifestyle. When you have as much passion for something as we do about Karate, then going to classes doing all the exercises and repetitive things does not seem so much like hard work. We have a lot of fun while we are there, and this is something that we can keep with us for the rest of our lives.

Lincoln Karate clinic has a lot of meaning to me in my life, not only because I am one of the instructors but it’s because it’s just a great place to be. It is a very friendly and respectable place and so many people to meet. Most of my friends come from the karate school, and each and every one of them are great kids. Lincoln Karate Clinic gives you not only a great physical workout but a good sense of knowledge too. It teaches you lots of useful self-defense movements that are quite easy to perform, and Sensei Scott Walls does a phenomenal job working with people in all kinds of different conditions. I enjoy working with everyone at the karate school and it’s just an exciting place to be. I've been there for almost 5 years now and it’s still a fun, exciting, and enjoyable place to be. I encourage everyone to come and do karate with us and I try to be a good role model for the kids and everyone else. Karate has been very helpful to me everyday in school, at home, and everywhere else.

My name is Adela and I am a Black and White belt at LKC! I have practiced karate for about 3 years and I really enjoy it. I have a twin brother named Ben that does karate with me and he is a black belt, he started before me and if it wasn’t for him I would have never started karate. One of the biggest reasons I started karate is because of my old best friends Hana and Rahela. After a few months my friends quit karate and I thought about it, but I really enjoyed it and decided to stick with it. I have met a lot of people at karate and a lot of those people I truly care about. I have met some people I can call my best friends and I have met some people that I can call my family.
Karate isn’t all about being serious it’s also about having fun, enjoying your exercise and being with people that care about you. Karate has taught me how to handle strangers and how to defend myself. I had the lowest confidence when I started karate and now I can be in front of a lot of people and not choke up. I remember when I could barely go in front of a few people and talk or even introduce myself and yes, I’m stilling working on that but I have definitely gotten so much better at it.
Even when I’m having a bad day, when I go to karate it puts a smile on my face and I’m always happy there. No matter how bad my day went I just exercised the bad away or forgot about it the whole time class goes on. When something bad happens in my life I know that if I go to karate I have somebody to talk to no matter what. There are people there that are just there for you. The first thing that you get when you walk into our dojo is the way everybody is friendly, happy and talkative. The dojo is like a big family put together and somehow everybody is related. Were like a huge 7th heaven (the show)!
My little cousin named Selma also does karate with us and she is so cute. I mean she used to be a tomboy and she used to want to sweat and just exercise but she is getting to the point where she doesn’t like those things anymore but she always comes to karate and works hard. That’s the thing about karate I think is that no matter how unique you are, you always fit in. It’s not like school and there are cliques where the cool kids talk and the geeks are smart and jocks are cool. Everybody fits in and nobody ever feels ignored, at least that’s my point of view.

We started to take Jake to karate for the stranger danger program. What we didn’t know is how much more we would get. To see a group of three to seven year-old children show such pride, respect, admiration and determination is amazing. It makes me proud to have my son be a part of it. He has learned so much. It isn’t just about Karate, Sensei Scott Walls adds in life lessons, how to show proper manners when you have visitors, how to apologize after making mistakes, showing and giving respect to those around you. We couldn’t have asked for more.

“Our son Holden, age 6, began Karate in the fall of 2006. We wanted him to find something unique that he could do and feel good about his accomplishments. We chose Lincoln Karate Clinic due to its reputation and Sensei Scott's background in working with challenging children. Holden has shown progress in his respect of others, manners, and listening skills. We continually emphasize these traits in all aspects of his day, regardless of where he is at. Holden is now an Orange Belt and will be getting ready to test for his Blue Belt. He loves to practice the different forms on non-karate days and all the special classes that Sensei has developed. We also enjoy the way Sensei will incorporate the parent's involvement in activities to assist the child in continuing to grow in his Karate skills."
